Health and Physical Education Program

The Health and Physical Education program continues to provide basic healthcare to all Nyaka and Kutamba students and their host families. Our school nurse continues to make home visits teaching hygiene and sanitation and how to keep clean water and drinking water. Recently, Nurses with a Purpose visited both Nyaka and Kutamba Schools to test all students for HIV/AIDS. we are currently awaiting the results of these tests.

We are working with Kambuga Hopspital in extending basic healthcare to all families hosting Nyaka and Kutamba students. Our long term goal is to build a self-sustaining clinic to serve all people in Nyakagyezi village and the surrounding areas.

Sports and recreation are also a big component of this program. The children enjoy playing football and netball and also recently learned the game of frisbee. Matches take place between area primary schools and are enjoyed by the entire community.
